Today there is more awareness than ever before regarding how our environment affects our well being. One aspect of our environment which has garnered a lot of attention is the quality of the indoor air where we live and work. People today who are concerned with their air quality are very likely to hire a consulting firm to determine if the air they are breathing is adversely affecting their health.
Determining if there are problems with the air quality in one's environment is just part of the solution. At EEI we understand that if there are problems with the air quality, the next step may involve the implementation of air quality control measures. Air quality control measures may be as simple as the installation of an exhaust system in a basement to remove radon. Other air quality control measures may include the use of a biocide coating in an air conditioning condensate pan, portable HEPA (high efficiency particulate air) filters or an installation of more supply diffusers and return grilles.
At EEI, we work closely with our clients to determine the overall status of their air quality. If examination of the air quality indicates the need for air quality control measures, EEI assists our clients in the purchase and documentation of the effectiveness of these control measures. Any sampling or monitoring performed for a client is included in a comprehensive report. This report includes an introduction which provides the background, and scope of work for the project. The next portion of the report provides an executive summary of the data collected along with a more detailed description of the results. Conclusions and recommendations based upon the data are also provided. The report also contains a complete description on how the data was collected, including a summary of the sampling and analytical techniques utilized. The final section delineates the quality assurance and quality control measures implemented to ensure accurate data. Finally, the report will include an Appendix containing support documentation for the project.
